Version 4.5 - What's new?

Version 4.5 includes an internal upgrade to Swift 6 to stay up to date with Apple’s latest technology stack, along with the following user experience improvements:

Ability to restore app settings directly from within the app

Previously, you could save your settings and restore them by using the “Open In” option from an email attachment or the Files app. Now, you can open and restore your previously saved settings directly from within the app via:
Settings > Settings: backup, share, restore.

This makes it even faster to switch between different settings for different projects. We are also working on settings profiles to make switching between them even easier in future updates.

When you back up or share your current settings, it’s now easier to rename the settings file when saving it via Files.

Added options to import point files directly from within the app

Importing files from emails or the Files app can be a bit messy, and the latest trend is to offer direct imports from within the app itself.

We’ve added a More button to the top toolbar in the Points list, giving you access to direct import and additional options:

The Import button will open the file picker, allowing you to choose files in the following formats:

  • KMZ
  • KML
  • GPX
  • CSV
  • TXT

Only the KMZ format supports importing photos.

We’ve also moved the options for default point sorting (by date, creation date, or updated date) to this menu. Previously, they were located in the bottom toolbar (Points/Collection Filter).

Hope you’ll find these quality of life improvements as useful.

Version 4.2 with new, text-input based Coordinates Converter , supporting also OSGB and SK 42. This is part of an ongoing and step by step effort to bring support of all major ESPG coordinate systems to the app.

Version 4.0 with custom file name patterns for saved/exported/shared photo files and addition of Waze/Yandex navigation links as options for photo QR codes.

Version 4.1 with ability to pick custom color for buttons in the app. This should provide more options for improved visibility of buttons in bright sunlight and potentially assist in cases involving color vision deficiencies.
