Trash & Deletion Options
GPS Camera gives you control over what happens when you delete photos and points.
Available from version 5.0

First Time You Delete
The first time you delete a photo or point, you’ll be asked to choose your preferred deletion method:
- Move to Trash — Keep deleted items recoverable for 30 days
- Delete Permanently — Remove items immediately with no recovery option
Your choice is saved as the default for future deletions, but you can change it anytime in Settings.
Two Ways to Delete
Move to Trash (Default) Deleted photos and points go to a Trash folder where they stay for 30 days. You can restore them anytime during that period. After 30 days, they’re automatically removed.
Delete Permanently Photos and points are removed immediately and cannot be recovered.
Deleting a Collection
When you delete an entire collection, your deletion preference applies to all items inside:
- Move to Trash — The collection is removed, but all photos and points inside are moved to Trash. You can restore them individually to a different collection.
- Delete Permanently — The collection and all its contents are permanently removed.
Changing Your Preference
- Open Settings (gear icon)
- Tap Deletion & Trash Management
- Choose your preferred option
Restoring Deleted Items
